I have an access denied circa 1999 or so. The chains were not the proper length and they used to grab the tiny hairs on my butt and I hated that. So I cut the chains and replaced them with coated wire. the coated wire is held in place with little clamps that are sharp. Although I now have the proper fit, they pinch something awefull. Additionally the attachment at the front sheild (bottom) is rather big and interfears with making a BM. At this point I'd like to go back to the chains. But I'm not a metel smith and have no idea on how to do that. I thought that some sort of webbing, like a climbing webbing that is sewed on, would be comfy and great! execpt for cleaning and when I get out of the shower, it would be wet and likely show through my pants. So I'm thinking like a water proof webbing? Something strong, non stretchy, wipe cleanable.. any ideas?? fuzzywool@hotmail.com |

Fuzzy, Contact me at info@lockedinsteel.com. We can retrofit the belt with chains, coated cables, even a thong if you like. We have worked on many AD belts. Jillian |

Thank you Jillian, I'm very much short on money right now, so I'm looking for a "home remedy". I also put on some weight, my belt is adjustable, but the chain length is affected. I'd like to stablize my wieght prior to investing money in new chains. My original idea because I have a D-ring in the back was to convert my AD to a Thong style. Well what I discovered was that my tail bone is WAY TO CLOSE to my crack. I had to put a piece of 1 inch foam rubber behind the thong strap in order to drive or sit or work. That was nasty. (The foam I mean) I imagine others who ordered a thong style might have discovered that too. |

Nylon webbing dries quickly, especially If you point the hairdryer at it. Mind you I haven't worn my CB routinely, and never more than 48 hours. You should be able to attach chains using a drill, some sort of metal stirrup, and a rivet gun. Try Polymorph Plastic for coating the joints. |

You can purchase stainless steel chain in small quantities from Bosun Supply on line. For attachment, I recommend using stainless steel bolts and nuts. Put the head on the inside and use some "lock tite" on the threads before installing the nut. It is impossible to remove with the belt on. I have used flat head bolts and slightly reamed the hole so that they are flush with the belt surface. Really works nice. |

Dear Fuzzywool We had the same tail-bone problem; which I fixed this using a short section of soft flexible PVC tubing (with the ends smoothed off on a soft flap-wheel) which was simply slid onto the thong prior to assembly. If you were UK based, I would say pop over, but I think you are US based. I like the Tollyboy thong system because it is adjustable and it uses user replaceable interchangeable thongs. Once these are smoothed off and heat-shrink coated they are really comfortable. Its hard to get good quality stainless chain in the UK, but apparently its widely available (even by post) in America. Some will frown on this, but pop-rivets make great CB fastenings; simply drill out the original SS rivets for the D rings (carefully, because they are hard metal) and fit new chain using pop-rivets; its not hard to do. If you need more details Email me you have my address. |

My chains (or former chains) are attached with "D" Rings. So it's not a matter of attaching the chain to the belt. A bolt or something of that nature would show through pants and likely rip my shirt. I tried using twisted wire, but the edges got sharp and I ruined our sheets while turning over at night. I beleive my D-rings where run through the end of the chain prior to being rivited to the belt. I've NEVER had a good experiance with Rivits so I don't want to yank the rivets out of my D rings. To be clear there are 3 D rings on my belt. 2 at 5 and 7 o'clock to hold the "jock strap chains" and 1 at 6 o'clock that was attached to hold a butt plub holder. |

switched to 3/4 inch nylon straps. They do try pretty quick. After 1 day, I'd say surprizingly comfortable. Send Jillian an email but got no response. |
