Having got a bad reputation from taking advantage of young female students who would "do anything" to improve their marks, my current other half takes few chances and since I can't blame her I acquiesce. I am locked up at work, when away at conferences, when she is away or during her (painful) periods. ie about two thirds of the time. The device is very effective, irremovable and ensures complete denial. What she and I have noticed that having been locked for a day or two I drive much less agressively. I am more patient with silly drivers, long tailbacks, speed limits etc. She believes this is due to subliminal fear of ending up in an emergency room. I think it is due to the frustration of the CB being so great that driving frustrations are, by comparison, trivial. Anyone else noticed this? |

For whatever reason, my car is exactly the wrong ergonomic position for both my CB3000 and Access Denied. It's very uncomfortable to drive, so I tend to drive fast and irritable. My wife notices this.... |

Actually we found the modified drop front MGA200 we use now, works OK for driving. This CB has an experimental (modified) female shield, adapted for male use by adding a non standard tube. The car is a quite cumfy VW Touran which helps. Most of the belts I made myself seemed OK, but an ergonomic (or drop fronted) waistband helps. In principal I think driving in a CB can work fine; but may it might present legal problems in an accident, if discovered. It could potentially lead to additional injuries, but then it might prevent some. Do consider all of this BEFORE you do so. Susan (Builder) |

I have observed the more laid back attitude I have when driving with the belt on too, no idea what causes it. The problem I have with it though is I normally drive with my right leg straight, now I have to bend it slightly so I'm not pushing my thigh against the shield. As a result my ankle starts to ache putting pressure on the pedals, especially the brake in traffic. I am finding myself practicing my left foot braking more and more. |

Driving in the Latowski is not particularly comfortable. If you recline the seat slightly, it relieves the pressure on your crotch enough to make it bearable for short rides. |
