Well couldn't resist bid on one for 99$ and will see what it is like when it arrives here. He seems to have a regular supply of them on his eBay store http://stores.ebay.ca/feifeiwork-shop-com19 and more images of "shiny things" on http://www.flickr.com/photos/feifeibdsm/ |

The Device arrived today. It was given to UPS yesterday morning and it was interesting tracking it cross half the world and several countries to be on my doorstep in the afternoon of the next day! It is solid and well made with clean welds and no rough edges anywhere. First tried it out using a ring that was a bit smaller than I should have. It became noticeable annoying after a few hours. So I switched to a one size larger ring and find it is comfortable to wear all evening. Will try it overnight and see how the morning goes Only change I will be making is to drill the hole in the pin out to allow it to take a slightly larger good solid lock. Slightly on the worrisome side is the wife came across it and is showing a bit more interest than I expected in putting it to use. Be careful what you wish for eh. |

The first night proved to be no issues. So I did drill out the pin hole slightly and it now takes a good quality heavier lock. Then she insisted I carry all the tube components & lock in my wallet pouch as we went to town that afternoon and were visiting many stores. Not sure why, I am guessing she was worried it might set off some of the many detectors that seem to be in use nowadays. However it proved to be an uneventful trip. Put it back on when we got home Friday evening and spent another night in it. When I arose this morning I did note that the lock had been swapped to a new one, and she was gone to work. So I am in it till she returns Monday morning. Not an issue I had wanted to try leaving it on for a few increasing multiple day tests to see how it goes. She is just pushing the "test plan" along. I must say I like the wide ring band, on a previous unit that had a solid 2 inch ring I was able to pull out without much trouble. Using the largest 2 inch band on this one there is no give nothing is moving. The 2 inch ring itself is hinged and is 3/8 inch wide and just over 1/8 inch thick. Sorry if I am going on about this too much. This has to be the least amount I have spent on a kink oriented device like this, and it seems to be working out as one of the best non belt devices I have obtained. I am trying to figure out how to post some images of it somewhere. Have a small digital camera just need her to take it off for a while to shoot it and find some place to post them, might try that flickr site. |

I'd be interested your opinion of a couple of possible design flaws. 1) The surgical tubing over the hinge in the ring could slide sideways and expose the skin of your scrotum to being caught in the hinge. The surgical tubing is probably made of latex and could cause allergic reactions. 2) The hasp of the padlock which quite possibly isn't stainless steel is exposed to your skin and may cause nickel-allergy skin irritation 3) The brass portion of the padlock will probably slide downwards and contact skin on the scrotum and body. Contact with brass is bad for your skin, and the square edges of the padlock body may cause scratches that initiate or aggravate skin reactions. 4) The listing does not specify the formulation of stainless steel that the device is made from. Non-medical stainless steels could cause skin irritation or other allergic reactions with prolonged contact. |

1) The surgical tubing is very tight, I forced it off on the smallest ring trying to see how the hinge was made and it was rough to get it moved and back in place again. Yes it is standard surgical tubing, but fortunately I don't have any issues with latex I may experiment with it but I have a feeling I could use it without the surgical tubing, once shut there is no possible movement in the hinge so pinch danger would only occur during closing. 2) I did drill out the pin and replaced the lock with my own which is larger and rated as weather proof. The lock that comes with it is small and very inexpensive, I could open with a safety pin 3) As I have it now the lock sits on top and tight against the side of the tube, very little to no movement or contact with skin. 4) That is an issue, I have not been able to discern the steel it is made from. I have been checking both the tube and me for any signs of discoloration or corrosion or other issues, so far nothing it is just as shiny and clean as when I unpacked it. It is quite hard, I damaged some rotozip bits made for metal cutting while trying to enlarge the pin hole. And it is very slightly magnetic, I have a strong shop magnet and it will slightly stick when brought to the tube. I'll post more as I discover anything. |

The Crossed wires on the end of the tube in the flickr photos is exactly what I'm looking for in a Tube for my AD. I get too poked out and pinched, as a result, I'm always so 'dainty" as my wife says when I get up and down. She does not like me wearing the belt because I am so tentative. An END like that on an AD type tube would be a great improvement. http://www.flickr.com/photos/feifeibdsm/2593130532/ |

Yes it is quite a good end design, the tube drains well and it is next to impossible to poke in with a finger to touch anything. Tissue pushed in works well. I had been wearing it daily on and off, (more on) for quite a while then wore it for a week long camping trip. No major issues and the metal is not showing any signs for discoloration. It like all tubes of this design makes itself known in the morning, but it is not as bad as other I have tried, like some of the CBxK models. And I have not been able to slip it like I had the CBxK. I did have one misadventure that caused a few days out, but I should have known better. I foolishly tried to use a metal ball weight at the same time. And the inevitable happened the metal weight and the metal ring met with shin in between causing some damage that took a while to heal. I don't think I will try that one again! We are currently planning a month long canoeing trip this August and I am considering trying to make the trip with it in place. See how things go. |
