Sex and Zen

In the Chinese (1993) film SEX AND ZEN (!), there is a brief episode in which the Belt is used. The instrument is obviously contrived and dubiously functional. It is, according to the immemorial conventions of erotica, imposed by a cruel and abusive husband; and according to those selfsame conventions it is defeated.

For the benefit of anyone interested, the film is distributed in the U.S.A. by Tai Seng Video Marketing, 170 South Spruce Avenue, San Francisco CA 94080-4557, (800)888-3836 or (888)668-8338, http://www.taisengentertainment.com. In DVD it costs $49.95, plus $9.50 shipping, grand total $59.45. The film is in Chinese with english subtitles; and whatever plot there may be, was not discernible on only one viewing. The young women of the cast, however, were all drop-dead gorgeous, according to another convention of the genre. For myself, I do not intend to acquire it.
