The idea behind the online auction is simple. Anyone anywhere can sell their stuff, to anyone else, anywhere! Check out eBay if you've never even heard of this before.

The idea is simple, to participate in an auction, first you register on the auction site. When you register, you pick a user name, and enter your email address, and snail mail address. Your password will be mailed to you. Once you get your password, you can change it, or keep it the same. (Your snail mail address will only be given to a seller if you are a winning bidder, or a winning buyer if you are the seller of an item.)

Now that you have a user name and password, you can post an item to the site, and customize the auction to your specifications. When the auction is complete, both you and the buyer are notified by email. This email contains both your mail addresses, so the buyer can send a check, and the seller knows where to ship the item.

To bid on an item, you must register yourself. Then bid on the item on its screen. Once the auction is over, you'll recieve an email which tells you where to send payment for the item.
